2022-2023 Season Auditions

Overview

Opera Ithaca announces auditions for its 2022-2023 season on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the National Opera Center, 330 7th Ave., New York. Singers will be heard in 8-minute slots; a pianist will be provided, but singers are welcome to use their own pianist. We will be prescreening video submissions for the limited slots on April 25. If you are not granted an audition time, you may still be under consideration for casting. We especially encourage BIPOC applicants to submit their materials.

 

Productions for Opera Ithaca rehearse and are performed in Ithaca, New York. Project-dependent, fees range between $1,000 and $2,500 and include a travel stipend and host housing. Opera Ithaca makes best efforts to provide local transportation but cannot guarantee private transportation (rental cars or otherwise) for every artist.

Principal Artists

Please submit 3 contrasting videos made within the past 6 months along with a biography, headshot, and website link. Managers are welcome to submit these materials as well.

Young Artists

Opera Ithaca is casting Young Artists for a 4-week residency from late August to the end of September 2022. Young Artists receive $350 per week, housing, and a travel stipend. Opera Ithaca guarantees roles, weekly coachings, and other performance opportunities. Please submit 2 contrasting videos made within the past 6 months, along with a biography and headshot.
